Central & Southern Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels Secretary-General Jordan Palmer asked that neighbors and everyday citizens lend a helping hand to others in need.

Kentucky Emergency Management (KYEM) activated the Commonwealth’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) on Sunday in preparation for a powerful winter storm that is expected to bring heavy snowfall across the Commonwealth.

Computer models indicate accumulations that vary from 6 to 16 inches across the Commonwealth, on Monday and Tuesday.

The Commonwealth’s EOC activated at Level Four Operations at 8 p.m. on Sunday night. At Level Four Operations, additional personnel are activated in order to provide situational awareness to the Kentucky Department of the Military, the Kentucky Division of Emergency Management, and locally elected officials.
