Kentucky Colonels Small BusinessThe Central & Southern Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels ask you to support your local businesses on Small Business Saturday stated Secretary-General Jordan Palmer. The reason is simple, spending money locally with local businesses puts more money back into the local economy.

For every $100 spent in a locally owned, brick and mortar business, $68 is returned to your community through taxes, payroll and related business expenditures. Spend it with a big box or national chain and $68 drops to $43 spend it online and it goes to $0.

Shift the way you shop and shop local this Holiday Season! Small Business Saturday is November 30th and Downtown Merchants will be opening their doors to the community with sweet deals and sweet treats!

Small Business Saturday was started in 2010 by American Express to drive sales to small businesses and to recognize their vital contributions to the economy, job creation, and local communities.
